On Saturday 10th May, The Bradford Police Museum was proud to take part in the Combined Court Open Day at the Bradford Law Courts. This popular event welcomed over 1,500 visitors through the doors, offering the public a rare glimpse into the workings of the justice system, past and present.

Our team was on hand throughout the day to showcase the rich history of policing in Bradford. Alongside a fascinating display of historical artifacts and stories, we were delighted to exhibit two standout pieces from our historical vehicle fleet: our Austin Metro MK1 (1980) and the striking Victorian Police Prison Carriage. These vehicles proved a major attraction, sparking interest across all ages and offering a tangible connection to policing through the ages.

Visitors also enjoyed courtroom tours, interactive exhibits, and talks from legal professionals. It was a fantastic opportunity for families and individuals to learn more about how the justice system operates - and how it has evolved.

We’d like to thank the event organisers for inviting us to be part of such a successful and engaging day. Opportunities like this allow us to continue our mission of preserving and sharing the stories of Bradford’s policing heritage with the wider community.
