Volunteer with Us

Bradford Police Museum recruiting volunteers now.

The Bradford Police Museum needs new volunteers to help with our expansion programme. As well as supporting our current popular offers, the museum is launching new experiences and now has funds to start refurbishing our unique historic police vehicle fleet.

Our independent award-winning museum is a registered charity and is currently open each Friday and Saturday to paying visitors as well as available for private group tours. We also holds a popular ghost tour. We now plan to launch historic walking tours of the city centre and partner with local independent traders to pilot a discounted hospitality package for visitors.

We want to recruit volunteers of all ages across a wide range of vital roles to support the museum. We have volunteer mentors in place and a recruiting process. There is something for everyone here at the museum.”

The museum cannot function without our team of dedicated volunteers. Volunteers are needed for front of house and selling from the museum shop, to act as tour guides, taking visitors around the Victorian cells and courtroom, the curatorial team.

We currently are also looking for someone to handle all our website and social media feeds.

Volunteers are also needed for the new roles; walking tour assistants, people to manage the vintage police vehicle collection as well as mechanics (motorbikes & cars) and drivers, riders and valets.

Volunteering BPM

We are keen to attract volunteers from all demographics and ethnic groups. We have a wide range of roles so whether you just want to do something in your spare time, or enhance your skills and add something meaningful to your CV we can support you. A number of our former volunteers have gone on to work in the heritage and museum sector.
