About the event
The Bradford Police Museum Volunteer Open Day
Saturday 14th June, 10:00am to 11:30am
Join us on Saturday 14th June as we open the museum to people interested in volunteering with us!
The museum will be open from 10:00am to 11:30am, giving visitors the opportunity to explore our historic site and learn about the volunteer positions we have available. Current volunteers will be on hand to share their experiences and answer any questions you may have.
Our museum relies on the dedication of volunteers to keep our doors open and our exhibits running. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community, we’d love for you to consider joining our team. As Bradford is celebrating 2025 City of Culture celebrations, with regular events taking place in Centenary Square, we are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support the museum’s growing activities.
To see our full list of volunteer opportunities, and more information about them, please visit the Volunteer With Us page on our website.

About The Bradford Police Museum
The Bradford Police Museum is an independent museum and registered charity, governed by a board of trustees and run by a team of passionate volunteers. We hold Arts Council England accreditation and were praised by The Times in 2023. Highly rated on TripAdvisor, the museum continues to expand its offer as we prepare for the City of Culture 2025.
Located in the heart of Bradford, the museum offers visitors guided tours of the beautifully preserved Victorian police cells and courtroom, alongside a gallery displaying items from our extensive collection. We are the only police museum in West Yorkshire and one of the few in the country to feature a fleet of historic police vehicles.
Our curatorial team works year-round to preserve and maintain our growing collection, ensuring the history and heritage of policing in Bradford is protected and shared with future generations.
